My Story.

I am a pretty easy person to get to know. The most important thing to know about me is I am determined. I do not give up easily, and I will try everything at least once. My personality is friendly and outgoing. I like to make people laugh, and my entire life, I have done a very good job of doing so. For a person who has never met me before, I am extremely approachable. I like to carry on good conversations and I never boast or brag about my achievements or talents.

I was born 19 years ago in a small town in Pennsylvania, known as Wilkes-Barre. It is about two hours north of Philadelphia. Currently I reside about a half hour from my hometown in a small country town. I live with my parents, Pam and Vince, who have supported me my entire life in any endeavors I chose to involve myself with. The list includes, Girl Scouts, Basketball, Soccer, Gymnastics, Dance, Piano, Saxophone, Field Hockey, and most importantly singing. My 13 year old brother also resides at home with me, and has raced go-karts for 7 years of his life and holds points leader for almost all of those. My sister, Michelle, 29, resides on her own and has her masters in Psychology from Pennsylvania College of Medicine. From both sides of my family, I have gained the support of my grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends. Currently, I am attending college and spending the summer in Massachusetts with my boyfriend, Colin.

The point of this biography is to tell you about my talent. Since the age of 3, I have been singing. I spent years in the school chorus and doing solo parts here and there. I also sang the National Anthem for my high school sporting events, pep rallies, and state playoff games all over north eastern Pennsylvania. My entire life I have made singing very important to me. Many people have told me that I have real talent, and to go after my dreams. More recently I decided to try a harder for my goal. Colin plays the ukulele and we have participated in Open Mic Nights at college campuses and local coffee shops, including Barnes & Noble. Every place we have performed, people have given us the loudest applause, even louder than the applause for locally known bands. We began posting our videos on youtube, and a site called ukulele underground. Both of which people rated us 5 stars and commented in support of my singing ability and hisukulele playing.

Just the other day we were driving back from a trip to the gym, and had the radio on Ryan Seacrest’s talk show. Fortunately, they were announcing the cities which would host the American Idol auditions for Season 9. The last city they announced just happened to be Boston, which is located an hour from where I am staying. In my heart, I knew it was fate. The chance at my dream was right in front of me and I could not wait. So two weeks from the day would be the auditions at Gilette Stadium, and I had a lot to prepare for. And this is where my story beings. Check out my Audition Story to hear how it went!
